What is Interior Book Design?

Interior book design encompasses every aspect of the look and feel inside your book, and high-quality design immediately proves to readers that you are a serious author. Achieving that professional quality can be time-consuming and frustrating—your time is better spent writing your next book. A well-designed and formatted interior allows your readers to be totally absorbed in your story without the distraction of formatting errors.

Formatting is a critical part of your book’s production, making it even more important to hire a trustworthy professional designer.

All packages are for one formatted book document in one trim size provided in the format needed by your printer/distributor (Amazon, IngramSpark, etc) or eBook service (Amazon Kindle, Smashwords, etc). Turnaround time is five to seven business days, excluding holidays. If you book multiple formats for the same manuscript, a 15% discount will be applied to the lowest-cost package purchased.

Basic Book Design - Starting at $199 (Print) & $99 (eBook)

Our Basic package includes the most common features of interior book layouts and is best suited for stories with no images (with the exception of the title page) and no special formatting within your chapters. It includes:

• Title page
• Dedication page
• Copyright page
• Also By page
• Acknowledgments page
• About the Author page (with author-provided author photo)
• Simple chapter headings
• Page number, author name, and title placement on each applicable page
• Consistently styled chapters following book-industry standards
• Up to 80,000 words ($0.005 per additional word)

Select Book Design - Starting at $299 (Print) & $159 (eBook)

Our Select package includes all the features of our Basic package, plus some added benefits that are great when you want a little extra flare, or your book contains images or other special formatting within its chapters, an enhanced title page or something else. It includes:

• Everything from our Basic Book Design package above
• Enhanced title page (including the use of author-provided images) to fit your book's brand or cover
• Enhanced chapter headings
• Images within your chapters
• Ability to have special formats in your chapters for text messages, documents, lists, etc.
• Up to 80,000 words ($0.009 per additional word)

How Does It Work?

• Initial consultation where you can tell me what you're looking for and any special requirements or requests.
• 50% of payment is due prior to any work beginning.
• A proof of your potential setup will be provided before the full document is completed so adjustments to styling can be made prior to the final formatting process.
• Upon completion, and after the remaining 50% of payment is received, your formatted book PDF will be sent to you.
• If changes are needed after your document is completed, one round of minor adjustments will be provided at no additional charge.
• All payments made via PayPal.
